SB 939 passed the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, which is the first step in having the Bill become law.  The Bill is a controversial one that would allow impacted commercial tenants to try and renegotiate their leases with their landlords, and if the negotiation is unsuccessful, the tenants would be allowed to terminate their leases.  This is a hotly debated issue as the repercussions of such a law are substantial across the State.  We will provide updates as they come along.
